The banners are the landmarks of this route, crosses that highlight important points along the way. They indicate success and danger. They are letters written to oneself, telling details and secrets of the path.
Thus, the opened boxes allows the eyes to access this research where painting and drawing coexist.
The line, the stain, the text and the figure complement each other in an attempt to portrait a face to a volatile and diffuse object of study. A poetic effort in the hope of being able to present this content that oscillates all the time between fields of meaning and fields of presence.

1981, Natural de Brasília (DF), Ulhoa vive e trabalha em Niterói (RJ). Formado em Comunicação Social pela ESPM-RJ (2007), atuou como diretor de arte por 17 anos antes de dedicar-se integralmente à carreira artística a partir de 2023.
Sua relação com a arte iniciou-se em 1999, quando passou a frequentar ateliês de desenho e pintura.
Destaca-se sua passagem pelo Ateliê Long River (2015-2019), sob orientação de Fred Carvalho, no Rio de Janeiro (RJ), e nos encontros de Desenho do C.C.B.C. (2015-2019), com Cláudio Valério Teixeira, em Niterói (RJ).
Sua pesquisa se desenvolve através da pintura e vídeo.
Em seus últimos trabalhos relata temas como desconexão entre percepção e realidade. O estranhamento do próprio corpo, a sensibilidade alterada. O cotidiano acerca do adoecer e do viver. Se interessa pela documentação desse ambiente psíquico da instabilidade, dos sintomas antecipados, da imaginação inflamada. Como suporte, Ulhoa apropria-se das caixas dos remédios que toma diariamente.
Ulhoa participou de exposições coletivas, como a Bienal Caixa de Novos Artistas (2016-2017), que circulou por todas as unidades da Caixa Cultural; e Quizumba, no Corredor Cultural do MPRJ (2018).
